Feature Documentation
This guide will provide you with valuable insights and instructions that may not be immediately evident from the user interface of our website.
Search Functionality
The search feature can be accessed from two places: the search bar located in the header navigation at the top of every page, and the custom filters panel available in every tool and listing view. Below, we delve into some of the advanced functionalities of this feature:
Searching for Tools
If you want to find a specific tool, type "t:" followed by a part or the whole name of the tool. For example, to find the Amalgamagic tool, you can type something like t:amal
to get to the Amalgamagic tool.
Searching by Item ID
To look up an item by its ID, simply type the ID number into the search bar. For instance, if you enter 19721
, you’ll be directed to the Glob of Ectoplasm item page.
Advanced Search Techniques
For more intricate searches, you can use the keywords AND, OR, and NOT:
- AND: Use this keyword to include all connected words or phrases in your search. For example, to find any dye with the word "regal", you can enter
dye AND regal
orregal AND dye
. The order does not matter. - OR: Use this keyword to combine various items in your search, even if they are unrelated. For instance, to list items that contain either "elder wood" or "mithril", enter
mithril OR elder wood
. Again, the order is unimportant. - NOT: This keyword excludes specific words or phrases from your search. For example, if you want to find "mithril" but not "ore", enter
mithril NOT ore
.
These keywords can be used in any order and repeated as many times as needed to create complex, tailored searches.
